Puffery !


Your article should not engage in puffery.
Puffery is when an article attempts to exaggerate the notability of its subject. Puffery only serves to reduce the neutrality of the article and so it should be avoided. The most common type of puffery is the use of peacock terms.

This was from Wikipedia - which I must admit I have not come across before - trying to help Dad write an article about a Hypnotist we used to work for !

This brilliant term which I now intend to use can be very much utilized in the area's that I have an interest in, photography, archeology, heritage and local history , parapsychology, ufology.

All the above have *members* that do this in rather large amounts, infamous might be another rather good word here as well ! For the moment no names will be mentioned - I would need an entire day to cover ufology at least !
